80 new Covid-19 cases in the country

From 12 am to 6 pm on June 5, the provinces and cities that reported new Covid-19 cases are Bac Giang (39), Bac Ninh (28), Ho Chi Minh City (6), Vinh Phuc (2), and Binh Duong. (2), Lang Son (1), K Hospital's Tan Trieu facility (1), National Hospital of Tropical Diseases' Kim Chung (1).

Ho Chi Minh City also has a new case related to the Renaissance missionary group. These people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on June 4-5.

Cases in Bac Giang were detected in isolated and lockdown areas. They are associated with workers from industrial zones.

Bac Ninh recorded new cases in Khac Niem industrial park (9), Que Vo industrial park (13), Thuan Thanh (3), and Dai Phuc (3).

The case recorded at K Hospital's Tan Trieu facility (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) is F1 who has been isolated in the hospital before.

National Hospital of Tropical Diseases' Kim Chung (Dong Anh, Hanoi) has one new case, a medical worker who was treating Covid-19 patients.The patients in Binh Duong, Vinh Phuc and Lang Son are all F1 and have been put into the quarantine.

Besides, 3 imported cases of Covid-19 were recorded in An Giang (2) and Khanh Hoa (1).

On the same day, Vietnam has 68 people recovered from Covid-19.

Currently, the epidemic situation is still developing with complications in some localities. In Bac Ninh and Bac Giang, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has requested that when the epidemic overcomes its peak, local authorities should speed up the policy of home isolation and self-testing. Today, Vietnam has 246 more Covid-19 cases in the community, 245 cases of which were detected in isolated and lockdown areas.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City has just received the third batch of Covid-19 vaccines with 71,800 doses and is about to complete the vaccination program before August 15. According to this program, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City is expected to give priority to those who work at medical facilities and who are directly involved working in isolated and lockdown areas.

Medical students volunteer to support the healthcare system, the Steering Committee for the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control at all levels, groups providing essential services such as working at airports, seaports and some in-patient facilities, are also prioritized for vaccination program in this batch.
